the big walk..
I can't believe i woke up at 4.30am... when I slept at 1am... gosh... 3.5 hours later and I'm actually awake and all geared up to go to the BIG WALK.
i'm sleep deprived already... but who cares? haha~ ^.^ I was actually excited to spend a morning walking 10km coz I haven't been giving my body the exercise it needs. haha... but anyhow, with the company of 4 fabulous girls from my JC class... i was sure today will be great!
we met up around 6.40 plus and was at Dhoby Ghaut to take the free shuttle bus. I was already stunned by the amazing number of people who woke up bright and early to actually walk. The response for the whole event must have been successful because there were students, elderly, the handicapped, the young and even dogs. Haha.. it seemed as though the entire population of Singapore was all concentrated in the city area.
The crowds were unbearable and I think Eunice would have collapsed if she were there. Everyone was just pushing and just eager to either start the walk or to quickly end the walk. Competitive walkers were all geared up with their stylo shades and also outfits... haha.. There were not many attention seeking folks this year and I was a bit disappointed. All the hoohas of attention seeking groups of people such as MAN U fan club, TV stars were all missing from the walk. Or so I think. I seemed to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Coz when me and my pals started the race, the Fa *un G*ng group was beside us. They were actually playing religious songs and also tinkling bells. Gosh.. with the funwalkers walking behind them, it reminded me of a chinese funeral procession. Oh my goodness....
Well, that wasn't the only thing that put me off... the irritating cheers and screams of the secondary sch students, the people who pushed their way through the crowds and also the blazing hot sun were things which made the whole trip almost unbearable... BUT.. with the company of the 4 fine ladies... I enjoyed myself! :) Moreover, appearances by Spiderman and Batman.. just made things more memo
Anyway, today i learnt 3 things about Singaporeans.
1. Singaporeans are damn kia-su... even in the Big Walk, they wanted to grab the goodie bags immediately for fear of them running out..
2. Singaporeans are damn litter bugs... They are amazingly horrible in helping keep the environment clean and for once, I pity the foreign workers because they have to clear the garbage that we just throw onto the streets. Clean society? Think again. More like hypocritical society.
3. Singaporeans are damn unpunctual people. They can't be on time... Haha... AND i am guilty of that. heE! So sad...
The BIG WALK was definitely an enriching experience which i will never forget. The time spent with the 4 ladies.. were unforgettable... thanks to them. =)

but if life were perfect and predictable... perhaps i would be still troubled...
troubled about why my life is perfect...
troubled over how to keep it perfect...
So be happy folks with your life... no matter how sucky or gd it is... There's a reason why your life is in such a perfect state or mess... Look to God for guidance always.. Remind me to do so too.. because I feel i have neglected Him for a period of time. Always let God lead the way... only then, would your life be meaningful and almost perfect. God bless you all..

sometimes, love is blind... that's why when you're in love.. you're oblivious to the flaws of the one you love...
we should never attempt to love... why do you think they say people "fall in love"... that's coz you don't have to think twice to love.. it happens naturally... and you just fall.
why am i saying all this crap? coz.. i'm sure there is at least one of the scenarios which you can relate to. ^.^

today's George's birthday! Happy birthday to him man... haha~ he's a really cool fren who never fails to make me laugh and smile coz he's so funny at times. Remember playing bball with him after school in AISS and YJC lor.. haha... he's like a great coach (to me la.. always gimme pointers) and always don't mind playing with the gals... and losing with us.. haha~ not many guys can be able to sacrifice their time to play basketball with gals u know... hehe..
Anyway, 05-05-05, other than being a special day of the year coz there's only 1 such day in the year... it was also a day which left me kinda torn.. haha...
in the wee hours of may 5, i was playing pc games.. with irianto... haha.. playing this really cool and fun game of O2 jam... haha~ it's something like DDR.. but in the form of keyboard pressing.. haha.. really cool lor.. ^.^ didn't know gaming can be fun too.. haha~ i tot it was a senseless past time.. but now.. i changed my mind. haha~
went out with lai the whole day... went to find this company of mine... B ideas ar.. haha~ in tanjong pagar.. my goodness.. couldn't find that place lor.. so deserted.. haha... anyway, it was raining..... we walked in the rain and I had to buy an umbrella.. coz it was an heavy downpour... enough said. haha~ well, it was amazing how he could stand my company for almost 5 hours.. and somemore waited for me to finished tuition at bishan at 8pm... gosh... i kowtow to him lor..
haha.. anyway, i tink i wanna stop here.. before a blabbled more senseless stuff... lolx.

i finally got it...
went out with pl n xj today.. haha~ spent time together... after a long time of not doing so.. haha~ ^.^ we took neoprints again!!! haha~ will try to upload them soon... haha~ but i not so patient to scan everything lor.. hehe...

well, i finally got the wallet.. I've been eyeing for a very long time.. the pierre cardin one.. call me materialistic.. but the wallet really looks great.. haha~ to me la... anyway, Xj was the one who say "buy la buy la" although it cost like $71.10. haha~ Pl offered better advice.. she asked me to think about it. And i did.
I don't really regret splurging on it.. quite happy i gave myself that treat though.. hopefully i'll use it.. haha... ^.^

Doll Me Up! Bridal Fashion in Miniature Exhibition

Oh my goodness!!! Now i don't regret signing up a membership with the National Heritage Board!!! haha... just got an update from them about the exhibitions they are having. I can't believe it!!! They are having a barbie doll exhibition!!!! arghz!!!!!
I just looked at a couple of the dolls online.. and my goodness.. the dolls are to die for. How i wish there is an auction.. and I can splurge every single cent i have to try to get one. For those who would be interested to check them out.. here's the website:

I'm planning to go down tomorrow.. Perhaps with my gal frens or my mum. Haha.. my mum is excited about it u know... I remember when i was a kid.. we'll always admire the barbie dolls of the collectors' edition at Toys R Us. I always wanted one.. but i would probably destroy it as I love to re-tie my dolls' hair and dress them in different costumes. haha~ I still have my barbie dolls u know.. after all these years..
