Argh~! I'm getting fat!

Sheesh... I'm putting on loads of weight... *argh*~!

I want to revert back to my healthy living where i played sports every darn day and food did not exist in my life!

Sometimes i wonder if losing weight will become a lifelong obsession of mine. I certainly hope not. But i just can't help it.

Growing up as an overweight child certainly left me hugely sensitive to my weight and even to how i look. Even when people pay me compliments these days, i tend not to take their words for real. Because I feel that i'll never be good enough/ pretty enough.

Thoughts like these sometimes drive me nuts. I wish that I didn't live in a world that paid so much attention to how one looks/ eats/ feels. But i guess I just have to learn to deal with it.

sigh~

take care. God bless.

*peace*

p.s.: Guess my new year resolution is to lose weight again. Haha...

Friends...

I met up with Yewen, Weijiun and Marleen yesterday for dinner and it was really nice to meet up with old friends.. Friends whom i have known for close to half a decade. Time flies doesn't it? It's great to meet up with old friends because you can reminisce the times you once shared... Sometimes, we forget about the past in our quest for the future that we tend to lose sight of what we once were. Though i'm not saying that one should always look back at the past, but it doesn't hurt to remember the people who once touched our lives.

We had a good time despite not meeting up for a LONG, LONG LONG LONG LONG time.... And i'm glad that they haven't forgotten me, as their friend. It's time to meet up with old pals... something which i haven't done in ages... Something that you should do so too if u haven't.

3 more days to christmas! YippeEE!!!

take care. God bless.

Our Ebook~!!!

Finally it's out!!! Well, it's sooo cool that calvin and I actually have our own ebook out! It's the fruit of mostly calvin's labour and hey, i did help out too.. I learnt a lot from this book actually. I learnt a lot about internet marketing and picked up quite a number of skills needed to earn money online. Hence, I'll most probably be revamping my blog soon in order to generate a passive income from it!

Well, i haven't thought about what I am going to do.. but i think i pretty much have a direction in which i wanna go into. and that is to blog about my experience being an overweight teenager to a young adult-to-be!

well, before i let u know too much, i really hope that those of you who want to know the 7 ways of earning money online... to check out the eBook. It is completely free and we have taken our holidays to write it. And we hope to share the fruit of our labour with our friends and blog visitors.

Hope to hear what comments you may have too! Do visit calvin's blog at www.calvinwoon.com/7ways for the eBook.

Thanks a lot folks and Christmas is coming... so have a blessed one... Merry christmas!

take care. God bless.

*peace*

Christmas is coming~!

Gift Ideas for Everyone!

Just in case you are busy wondering what gifts to get for people in your lives... well here are some suggestions. I'm doing this because I enjoy shopping and also hunting for gifts and... I've recently been asked a couple of times about what are suitable gifts to give to friends and family... sooo here goes~!

FOR GUYS:
1. If they are soccer/sports fanatics: get them related merchandise such as the cap, the towel, the jersey, the soccer boots/ basketball shoes or even cable subscription to their favourite sports channels!
2. If they are metro-sexual: get them great healthcare products such as beauty products, health care supplements, manicure sets etc..
3. If they frequent the gym: get them a sports towel, a gym bag, a new outfit or perhaps even a shower kit..
4. For the ever so macho- sporty guy: get him a CD compilation of his favourite rock/hip-hop songs or best, get him those shades that he wants!
5. For those who just enjoy a good book and coffee: that's right! Just get him a book or the best coffee beans in town lor!!! haha...
6. Guys could do with practical items such as ties, shirts, cufflinks, wallet etc...
7. If you want to be special: cook him a gd meal on Christmas

FOR GALS:
1. If she is demure and sweet: nothing beats giving your gal a nice necklace which is sweet and not gaudy... look out for something that is unique and something which can be worn on all occasions
2. If she loves flowers: get her flowers! Flowers don't go wrong for any occasion.. provided she is not allergic to pollen!
3. Get her perfume and drop her a sweet note such as, "With this fragrance on you, even the most beautiful and sweet-smelling rose will wilt because of your beauty and grace". Though corny, it can give you a good laugh which can be a plus point if you are chasing that gal.
4. Never go wrong with a handbag... get her a nice handbag or the one she has been eyeing... How do you know she's eyeing a particular bag.. when she keeps visiting the same store in 1 shopping trip!
5. Get her the best chocolates... Chocolates are a gal's best friend... though i know of a friend who loafs chocs... i wonder why... in case you're not sure if she likes/hates chocs.. stick to those which have fruits in them.. like strawberry flavoured, rum choc.. etc...
6. Cook up something for her.. like brownies in the shape of santa? Haha.. ingenious idea... but takes time though..
7. Sew something on a teddy bear for her? Her initials would do great... if not, get her items such as figurines which she can relate to... such as her fav. character, colour, name.. etc...

FOR PARENTS:
1. If you can afford it, give them tickets to a cruise over new year... I think it's a great idea..
2. Get matching Pyjamas... and let them have a good laugh over it.
3. Treat them to a gd christmas breakfast/ dinner... either by cooking or eating out~!

I hope these suggestions are ok... if you're thinking what to give to colleagues/ acquaintances... I suggest just purchasing those gift sets available in the stores... Check out Body Shop...

For friends, well, i believe that it's the thought that counts. Check out what your friends eye or gush about and that could give you a rather good idea of what to get them. If not, always stick to stuff representative of them.. such as their fav., brands, what they like to do, their fav. colours, fav. food... etc.. Or best, just design a collage of all the photos that you have taken with them.. A picture says a thousand words.. hehe..

Hope you all have a blessed Christmas and that 2006 will close on a good note for you!

Take care. God bless..

Siblings/ No siblings?

I did something really cute today. I 'babysitted' my two youngest cousins today for a short while in the afternoon. Yep, they may be the youngest in the family but they are certainly not that 'baby-ish'. One's primary 6 and the other is in secondary 2.

What's so amazing is that, they make me wonder how it feels to have siblings? Though half the time, the both of them including Eunice will be bickering with each other, but at the end of the day, they always make up and just forget about everything. I on the other hand, have only bickered with my parents and sometimes with eunice, but that's about it. We don't pull each other's hair, scream at each other or just beat up each other (just in the name of fun btw).

Sometimes, the absence of someone who's around your age can be a little lonely. There's no one who shares your Gen's jokes, understand your Gen's lingo and just know exactly what you are going through in school/ with friends. Which is why I often hang out with a lot of friends because of the lack of erm... sibling support?

There are times where i wish i had a sibling but often, i thank God that i don't. I normally am proud of it - being independent and being a 'spoilt-brat'. And i used to hate it when people just rub it in that they expect single children to just be plain lonely, antisocial and having a problem with their attitudes. I don't deny that i was once like that, but I am thankful that I grew up amongst fabulous people who love me a lot and who taught me well.

As much as I envy those who have siblings, i am thankful that I have great companions along the way. Be they my friends, cousins, uncles, aunts, dad and mum, they rocked my life and made me who i am today.

So don't fret, if you are having sibling trouble/ loneliness... always remember you've got ppl around you. And if you don't, well, i'm here. =)

*peace*

take care. God bless.
