I'm a gal who's patiently waiting for the big 21 to arrive and basically a typical stressed-out student in Uni. Uni takes up about 50% of my life and thankfully the other half is taken up by God, my family and friends and my dearest sweetest, nicest "Teddy Bear, Clown, Entertainer and Lovable Sweetie".. who am i out to impress?
today i was chatting with two friends, siyun and paula... and there was a very interesting topic that we talked about after our GEM2900 paper (*sianz*). Bet you must be thinking that we talked about guys. HEY! that's not all gals talk about.. though yeah.. we talked about the kind of guys we find attractive. hahahaa... but that's beside the point. we talked about the reason as to why do gals dress up and who they dress up for.
It was interesting and I thought about it. For me, i dressto feel good and also to stop my mum from nagging me. The last thing that i wanted was to hear my mum nag about my dressing. To my mum, dressing in t shirt and shorts in public was a really bad sight. She said it makes people think that we can't even afford proper clothings or clothings to wear out in public. Hence, i have since changed in the way i dress... from street punk-bball freelance dressing to the feminine skirts and blouses. So people who have known me for a long time would say that i certainly have grown up to be a lady. heE! My dad says that Women change 18 times in their life.. and it is very clearly evident in me.
I've learnt from yrs of experience.. that people really judge you by the way you dress and if you dress well, people respect you and show u the due respect that u deserve. In that way, u feel gd about yourself. That's how i feel good about myself...!!!
well, certainly not all gals are like me.. who dress to stop parents from nagging. Some gals dress to impress guys. and it is amazing at how they do so. In school, it is so evident that some gals are really out to show off or to get guys to notice them. They go to school in clubbing gear and they really dress to 'kill'.
there are also those that dress to impress the gals with their dressing. they seem to be out to show off to the other gals their ability to purchase the latest fashion and brands and at the same time, to show off their ability to attract guys better. Well, i have experienced such from some people.. especially by the great number of babes in my faculty. gosh.. ARTS is really babe haven man.. haha.. i tink i am considered a tomboy in school.. haha.. in that case, i'm really thankful i'm in ARTS!!! haha.. coz i'm surrounded by babes.... wheE!!! hahaha ^.^
anyway, i'm done giving my 15 mins worth of crap. hehe.. i just realised blogging is really a great stress reliever... even if nobody out there has bothered reading my posts... haha.. it doesn't really matter i guess... it's just an avenue for me get certain issues off my chest. hahaha... well, that's all!!!!!
