I have always thought that rings were significant in many ways. A gift to a loved one, a friend... Signifying different things from love to friendship... to Lord of the Rings.... And it was only today that i realised that a ring is representative of one special thing which is "eternity".
So anyway, me and ms. ranjani have always been arguing about whether rings are now considered signs for people to look out for when they meet someone new. Haha... Well, right now, in our time, it's a norm to think that people to wear rings on their either, 2nd, 3rd or 4th finger are attached.. or are erm, romantically involved with another person. I don't know how true it is, but yeah.. i realised that it's quite true among friends i know.
I used to think that the fingers on a person's hand and the rings a person wears on his/her hand is representative of their marital status. Like for the thumb, single. Index, attached. Middle, engaged. Fourth, married. Fifth, divorced/widowed. Hahaha... lame right? But i thought so leh...
ms. ranjani can't believe the 'nonsense' that i have been "believing" all this while and that she strongly feels that a person's choice to wear a ring is entirely regardless of his/her marital status. i on the other hand, am sceptical about it. i didn't want people to mistake me as being attached when i am not, just because i wear a ring on my third finger.
well, now... i heck care.
coz... i just bought a lovely ring... that i like.. haha~ so... i'm gonna wear it. haha.. till i get sick of seeing it.
i don't know wat's up with this blog post. i tink i'm tired... but i'm gonna leave you with this site... which is really interesting... it talks about the meaning of wearing a ring on each of the fingers. haha.. chanced upon it.. lol! okok.. i searched for it la.. heE!
